Clerk of Superior Court seeks intergovernmental agreement for digital evidence portal; cost $5 per case

Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court Rachel Grama asked the board to approve an intergovernmental service agreement to extend access to a digital evidence portal provided through the Administrative Office of the Courts and a vendor contract with Thomson Reuters.
Grama said the county has introduced digital evidence into the clerk's office and the Superior Court to reduce physical storage, improve security and cut the risk of lost items. She said all Arizona counties except Apache were using the platform and that the county will not use General Fund dollars for the service; instead funding will come from the county's restricted digital and document evidence storage and retrieval conversion fund. Grama told the board the cost is "$5 per case that it's used in."
Supervisors had no substantive objections in the work session; the item will appear for formal consideration on the regular meeting agenda.
