EPA terminates Treasure Island Connects grant; authority to seek alternate funding

Chang said the authority will coordinate with city partners and that Chair Dorsey of the relevant committee has directed staff to bring forward an annual budget proposal in June to seek alternative funding for some activities tied to the program. “We will not be able to recognize that grant going forward,” Chang said.
The report did not include additional details about the grant amount, specific budget lines affected or a firm replacement funding source. Staff said they will provide updates to commissioners as soon as they have more information.
