The Tullahoma City Schools Board approved a fiscal-year-2025 audit contract with Wickerb Accounting PLLC, agreeing to the district’s portion of the citywide audit fee.
Mr. Jordan presented background on the city’s request-for-proposals process and said Wickerb Accounting (Wickerb/Wigberg spelling varied in materials) was awarded the citywide contract. The firm proposed $76,000 for the consolidated audit; Mr. Jordan said the district’s portion is $30,000 and that Wickerb has agreed to hold the same fee schedule for the FY25 audit.
Board members moved and seconded the contract approval during the meeting. Gigi Robinson moved the motion and Pat Welsh seconded. A board member asked whether the audit line items were included in the current budget; Mr. Jordan said the audit is budgeted annually and that the line item will be added for FY25. The motion passed on a voice vote; one board member recorded an opposition during the roll call.
Contract details: Wickerb Accounting PLLC, district share $30,000; the contract continues the existing fee schedule for FY25 and staff said the FY24 audit had been delayed while the firm acclimated to the consolidated engagement.
The board directed staff to include the contract in the next budget update.
