Josie introduced herself in the meeting and described experience building and managing a title company from two people to roughly 20 employees and her familiarity with the systems and people who frequent register-of-deeds offices.
Council members asked whether the position’s statutory residency requirement was met; Josie confirmed she resides in Kershaw County. The motion to approve the administrator’s recommendation passed unanimously. Members and administrator praised the outgoing register for decades of service and welcomed Josie to the county role.
Josie’s start date and onboarding will be coordinated with the outgoing register and county administration.
