Board adopts bylaws changes, approves SRO contracts and grants; declares vacancy after director Reed's resignation

The Poudre School District R-1 Board of Education on May 27 adopted multiple actions including amended bylaws for its District Advisory Board, authorization of expenditures for concurrent- and dual-enrollment programs, three school resource officer (SRO) contracts, and a baseline Head Start and Early Head Start grant. The board also adopted a resolution declaring a vacancy after Director Carolyn Reed’s resignation.

The board unanimously approved the DAB (District Advisory Board) annual report and amended bylaws after a presentation by Taylor Ritchie, the DAB chair. The board also voted to approve expenditures in excess of $250,000 for the district’s concurrent enrollment and dual enrollment programs and to execute contracts in excess of $250,000 for SRO services with the City of Fort Collins, the Town of Timnath and Larimer County.
