- Ordinance 2025-16: General plan amendment to change the future land use designation of roughly 0.29 acres at 624 West Fox Meadows Drive from commercial to medium-density residential. Motion by Council member Yuri, second by Council member Marriott; council voted in favor and the amendment passed.
- Resolution 2025-F: Updated subdivision ordinance checklist for preliminary and final subdivision applications. Staff presented checklists revised to reflect recent law and procedural changes; motion to adopt by Council member Gibson, second by Council member Yuri; council adopted the resolution.
- Interlocal agreement for forensic services: Council approved a five-year interlocal agreement with the Weber County/Sheriff's CSI unit to provide forensic services for Pleasant View. Chief Talbot summarized the long-standing arrangement (the agreement will run July 2025—6/2030 with automatic renewals). Motion to approve by Council member Gibson; motion carried.
- Right-of-way and property acquisition for the Zone 1 water tank: Council approved purchase of the final parcel and associated easements needed for the Zone 1 tank and transmission work. Project manager Ty Tyson described a purchase that includes a perpetual utility easement, a construction easement and approximately 2.8 acres for the tank site; motion by Council member Gibson, second by Council member Yuri; motion passed.
What the votes mean
The rezones will allow developers to pursue site plans under the city's recently adopted zones and density rules; site plans and subdivision approvals remain separate, subsequent steps. The subdivision checklist change is intended to reduce incomplete applications and speed review. The forensic services interlocal continues a long-standing regional arrangement to centralize evidence processing and scene support; Pleasant View pays an annual share proportional to calls. The tank property acquisition clears a final right-of-way and property need for an upcoming water infrastructure project.
Items deferred or left for future action
- The proposed $75 per-review collection fee for Central Weber Sewer and Northview Fire (item moved earlier in the agenda) was tabled for further review by Central Weber's board (see separate story).
