A commission member said, “the officers, did not violate any policy or procedure of the Kenosha Police Department,” and announced the complaint would be dismissed. The commission member added they would check with the commission’s attorney on the letter and language and asked that the date on the letter be amended to reflect February 2025.
On the separate matter, the commission instructed the police department to look into the complaint filed by complainant Tran Juan Maughn and to report the findings to the commission at its next meeting in closed session. The commission set its next meeting for June 17, 2025. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote (all those in favor said “Aye”).
