Resident asks county to investigate sewer capacity for proposed Seneca Hills Business Park

During public comment on May 27, Lee Pearson, a resident of the Horizon Hills subdivision, asked the Board of County Commissioners to help determine whether a proposed Seneca Hills Business Park can safely connect to the subdivision's sanitary sewer.
Pearson said the developer’s sanitary-sewer report ties into an area about 1.5 miles away and that the project appears to propose tapping into Horizon Hills’ residential sewer system. "I don't know if it's capable of handling that whole business park that's gonna go in there," Pearson said, noting the local sewer was constructed in 1964 and described by him as an open-pit design with drop-in connections and limited enclosed piping.
County manager Eric Brown responded that staff would connect Pearson with a staff member and include the board in follow-up communications to determine whether a feasibility study or inspection is needed.
