The Legislative Regulation Review Committee on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, voted to approve proposed regulation 2024-010 from the Department of Consumer Protection, concerning operating stationary engineer licensing, and to reject proposed regulation 2024-011 from the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, concerning gas pipeline safety standards. Both items were decided by formal motion and roll-call votes.
The committee accepted the Legislative Commissioners' Office recommendation to approve regulation 2024-010 "in whole with technical corrections". The motion was moved by Representative Dathan and seconded by Senator Austin. A roll-call vote recorded affirmative votes from members including Representative Dathan, Senator Kissell, Representative Carpino, Senator Maroney, Senator Ciccarella, Representative Fishbein, Representative Godfrey, Senator Kelly, Representative Claire DiStitria, Senator Austin and Representative Ryan; there were no recorded no votes or abstentions in the roll call cited on the record.
