Staff previews June agenda: Sierra Village tiny-home subdivision, El Gusto banquet conversion and Meadowview subdivision

Community Development staff told the Riverbank Planning Commission on May 20 that the June agenda will include three development items — a 27-lot Sierra Village tiny-home subdivision (market-rate), an El Gusto restaurant banquet-room conversion and a 31-lot Meadowview subdivision — and that staff will provide a housing-element update on May 27.
At the close of the May 20 meeting, Community Development Director Joshua Mann summarized items planned for the commission's June agenda and upcoming process items.
Mann said the June agenda will include three development items: Sierra Village, a 27-lot tiny-home subdivision at Sierra and Claws described as a market-rate (not affordable) project; a conversion for El Gusto Italian restaurant to use an adjacent former cellphone store as a banquet room and overflow seating for special events; and the Meadowview Subdivision, a proposed 31-lot subdivision at California and Snyder. Mann said these three items will make for a busy June meeting.
Mann also announced that staff will provide a housing-element status update on Tuesday, May 27 to summarize the city's responses to the state's comments and next steps for resubmitting the element to HCD (California Department of Housing and Community Development). Finally, he noted a joint City Council–Planning Commission workshop on July 9 to provide information about the Riverwalk project and asked commissioners to hold the date.
Staff did not provide detailed project packets or final hearing dates for the June items in the May 20 presentation; commissioners will receive formal hearing notices and staff reports in advance of the June meeting.
