The Town of Lakeville Planning Board on May 22 continued a public hearing on a site plan submitted by Twin Boys LLC for 2 and 4 Bedford Street and set the next hearing for June 12, 2025.
The application seeks approval for a business park of four buildings and associated site improvements, with three buildings intended as contractor bays and a fourth containing one contractor bay and 11 offices. Planning board members said third‑party review comments have been addressed in revised plans but that the board wants the town attorney to draw up final special conditions before a decision is made.
Board members discussed landscaping, fencing and building facades shown in revised renderings. A representative for the applicant said fencing and facade revisions had been submitted and that landscaping will include evergreen plantings; board members asked for evergreens of substantial initial height. One member said they had requested 6‑foot tall evergreens to establish screening and that plantings should be hardy and deer‑resistant. The applicant and board acknowledged a final list of conditions needed to be written and approved by town counsel before a vote.
Because the town attorney will prepare the special conditions and one planning board member (Amy) was expected at the June 12 meeting, the board voted to continue the public hearing to June 12, 2025. No final approval or denial was recorded at the May 22 hearing.
The board also confirmed that third‑party review comments on landscaping, fencing and building materials were largely satisfied in the revised submissions but left details to be incorporated into the special conditions drafted by counsel.
The board will revisit the application at 6:00 p.m. on June 12, when counsel and the absent board members are expected to be present.
