Bossier Parish Schools names Elm Grove principal and seven assistant principals

Assistant Superintendent of Administration Andrea Spinney presented the appointments, beginning with Rick Bryant as principal of Elm Grove Middle School. "It is truly an honor to stand here before you tonight," Bryant said, thanking mentors and colleagues who supported his administrative career.
The board and administration introduced the following appointees and gave brief biographical notes at the meeting: Rick Bryant, principal, Elm Grove Middle School (29 years in education; previously assistant principal at Elm Grove Middle); Daniel Baskin, assistant principal, Airline High School (16 years in education; nine years at Airline); Bridal Rayner, assistant principal, Parkway (Parkway alumnus, longtime teacher and coach); Clint Walker, assistant principal, Butler Educational Complex (more than 20 years in education; master's in educational leadership); Sharon Pollock, assistant principal, Elm Grove Middle School (instructional coach at Elm Grove for seven years); Marie Boudreaux, assistant principal, Elm Grove Elementary (20 years in education; reading specialist certification); Brittany Bass, assistant principal, Legacy Elementary (21 years in Bossier Schools; former instructional coach); and Annie Virpka, assistant principal, Kingston Elementary (13 years in education; gifted teacher; master's in educational leadership and policy studies).
Each appointee thanked family and district leaders. Daniel Baskin introduced family members from the audience and pledged to "give you the best Daniel Baskin each and every day." Rick Bryant and other appointees cited mentors by name and emphasized continuity with their schools' staff and communities.
The board did not take a separate public vote to confirm these introductions during the recognition item; the district presented them as newly appointed administrators for the coming school year.
The appointments complete the district's administrative openings for 2025-26 as described by Spinney at the start of the item.
