Cedar Park economic development staff report 200 projects, announce fall workforce summit

At a Cedar Park Economic Development Corporation Type A board meeting, staff reported the economic development team is tracking more than 200 active projects, 18 of which are classified as "hot" and together could yield just under 7,000 new jobs.

The staff presentation, delivered by Arthur (staff member), said the office is "still tracking over 200 projects. 18 of which are considered hot, meaning they have been in town for a site visit and would lead to just under 7,000 new jobs being created to all of those land." Arthur told the board the office is "on track to hit or exceed all goals for the year," and highlighted recent national outreach including a South by Southwest appearance and participation at the Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, where staff met with space-technology suppliers and promoted the planned Spaceport Development Corporation.
