Lincoln County approves payroll, accounts payable and several purchase authorizations; commissioners authorize expenditures from reserves

Lincoln County Commissioners on June 3 approved a series of routine finance items and purchase authorizations, including payroll and accounts-payable warrants, a workers’ compensation safety grant, and several facility and equipment purchases.
The board approved payroll warrant 2025-11 for the May 30 pay date. The county reported total payroll liability of $270,982.70 for the warrant and overtime of $28,342.09; commissioners voted to approve the payroll warrant (motion passed 2-0).
Commissioners also approved accounts payable warrant number 57, which included a jail assessment and bond interest payment of $217,111.58 and recurring technology subscription payments of $48,276.75. The motion to approve accounts payable warrant 57 passed 2-0.
Purchase authorizations approved during the meeting included: - $6,624 for the sheriff’s office Motorola body-camera subscription and cloud uploads (approved 2-0). - $7,735.93 to replace a deteriorating radiator connected to the courthouse boiler (approved 2-0). - $34,653.24 for a stand-alone heat pump to cool the communications center server room; commissioners directed the cost be paid from the capital improvement reserve (approved 2-0).
The board accepted a Maine Municipal Association Workers’ Compensation Fund safety grant of $2,690 to purchase turnout gear and reflective coats for emergency-management and maintenance personnel (approved 2-0). The county also approved a $3,165 payment authorization for a court-appointed guardian ad litem for minor guardianship proceedings (approved 2-0).
Officials accepted a tax-abatement appeal application from the town of Whitefield and scheduled the hearing for June 10 in the multipurpose room (application accepted 2-0).
