The Town of Lewisville approved two one-year contracts for grounds maintenance for the 2025–26 fiscal year.
Public Works staff recommended continuing horticultural maintenance and beautification services with Hoosier Horticulture under Resolution 2025-019 for $97,284 and approved a separate one-year contract for regular mowing and maintenance with Lawn Masters of the Triad under Resolution 2025-020 for $74,422.20. The two contracts together total $171,706.20.
Public Works staff said the horticulture contract is reviewed and repriced annually to reflect expanded town responsibilities, including new gateways and park expansions. Council Member Don McLean and others asked that staff consider competitive bidding or vendor consolidation in future years to seek cost efficiencies; staff agreed to review bidding and consolidation options during next year’s planning.
Council members moved and approved both resolutions; both votes were unanimous. Council members thanked the vendors and staff for ongoing maintenance work.
