The commission’s letter commended Sheila Bryant and Dr. Lanisa Williams and their teams for “exceptional record keeping practices and their thorough preparedness throughout this process,” saying the organization’s meticulous organization and attention to detail demonstrated a commitment to ensuring compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Office of Internal Audit presented the letter to the Audit Committee as an information item; the committee took no action.
The committee did not discuss corrective actions or additional follow-up at the meeting. The Title VI review and the commission’s commendation were recorded in the committee materials.
