Committee approves short-term parking lease at Jamestown Airport for FedEx employees

Tim Connor, director of public facilities, introduced the item and welcomed John Mackimer, the county's new airport manager. John Mackimer described the lease as "a 6 month lease of our parking lot, a poor small portion of the parking lot, 44, parking spaces for FedEx employees" at $500 per month and said the agreement includes an option to renew.
Committee member Dan (surname not specified) said FedEx plans to add roughly 100 to 120 new employees tied to increased operations at the Jamestown site, which has driven demand for additional employee parking. "They're running out of room to park, and so that's a good thing," Dan said. No formal parking-lot infrastructure modifications or county capital expenses were recorded as part of the approval.
