The meeting included multiple motions to accept staff recommendations and two roll-call votes: re-awarding an electric-vehicle purchase and a later vote approving disposition of real property following an executive session.
City staff recommended re-awarding an electric vehicle purchase to McGovern MHQ after the original May award proved unsuccessful because the initially approved bidder did not respond to follow-up. Staff cited longer driving range and faster charging as the principal reasons for choosing McGovern’s vehicle, which staff recommended at $43,635. Councilor Trimble voted no on that motion; Councilors Beck, Dean, Fournier and Finch voted yes. The motion passed 4–1.
