The vote approved the ground lease as presented for agenda item 3.2. Allison, a project lead who has coordinated funding efforts for the plan, said the project would convert a parcel owned by the district into small, independent housing units for teachers. Developer Scott Volk described the units as modified shipping containers, each with a full bathroom, kitchen, living area and bedroom, about 320 square feet in size.
