Summary
The Spearfish board approved increases to single-game and season activity-pass prices and authorized a BoundPro agreement, choosing the cashless-pro option with district-covered fees, according to materials presented June 9.
The Spearfish School District 40-2 board voted on June 9 to raise activity-ticket prices for 2025-26 and to approve an agreement with BoundPro (a third-party activity management and ticketing service).
Under the changes presented in board materials and approved at the meeting, single-game student tickets (grades K-12) will rise to $4 (a $1 increase) and single-game adult tickets will rise to $6 (a $1 increase). The annual student activity pass was set at $30 (a $5 increase); adult annual passes at $80 (a $5 increase); a family pass (two adults and two or more students) was listed at $185 (a $10 increase). The district indicated senior citizen activity tickets remain $5 with no increase.
The board also considered three BoundPro service options. Staff recommended the BoundPro cashless-pro option and said the district would pay the $3,800 annual subscription fee and absorb transaction fees so that the system would be free to families. Staff said the cashless pro option would also provide scheduling and paperwork benefits for coaches and the middle school.
Board members moved to approve the ticket-rate changes and the BoundPro cashless-pro agreement. The motions were approved during the meeting by voice vote.
Board members framed the changes as modest increases after roughly nine years without single-game or activity-pass increases, and said the fee adjustments and the chosen BoundPro option would help the district cover transaction and subscription costs while providing online ticketing and administrative tools.
