District human‑resources staff reported recruitment activity and hiring events at the June personnel committee meeting.
Staff said a transportation‑focused hiring event on May 17 attracted 15 prospective applicants who met with HR and transportation staff and toured facilities. The district’s May 20 spring job fair drew 75 attendees — 58 expressing interest in professional positions and 17 exploring support‑staff roles — the largest turnout in two years, administration said.
The administration announced three planned summer district hiring events: June 18 (transportation department), July 15 (transportation event and community "Touch a Truck" engagement at Pennridge High School parking lot) and an August support‑staff job fair at Pennridge High School that will be countywide and open to other Bucks County districts; four other Bucks County districts had already committed to participate in the August fair, staff said. The Touch a Truck event will include community outreach by local emergency services, farm equipment and school buses to attract applicants and families.
Staff also presented the regularly scheduled hiring and retention dashboard that detailed positions posted and filled between April 29 and May 12 (12 posted; 79 positions filled, a number the administration attributed in part to seasonal and ESY hiring that posts fewer position codes but fills multiple openings). Committee members asked HR to break out temporary versus full‑time fills when staff publish future dashboards.
No committee action was taken; staff said they will continue recruitment events through the summer and provide updated dashboards at the next personnel meeting in August.
