The Freehold Township School District’s curriculum committee said districtwide i-Ready diagnostic results showed unusually large growth from fall to spring.
A curriculum committee speaker told the board that an i-Ready trainer and manager working with the district told administrators they had not “worked with a single district who has experienced the growth in i-Ready from fall to spring diagnostic that they have in our district.” The committee planned to present detailed end-of-year i-Ready reporting at the June 24 board meeting.
Committee members said they also reviewed a regional instructional coaching consortium and local plans tied to the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary era, and noted that the district’s focus grant has been approved. The committee moved its routine items including course reimbursement and reported it will share specific data with the full board at a future meeting.
Board members praised teacher and administrator training initiatives aimed at making i-Ready data usable for year-to-year instructional planning.
