At its June 11, 2025 meeting the Pahrump Regional Planning Commission voted to grant extensions for two conditional-use permits — CU 24-20 and CU 24-21 — that previously allowed construction of four detached single-family residences on multifamily (MF) zoned parcels (1081 South Karen Court and 1061 South Indio Court). Staff reported the applicants requested a nine-month extension of special condition 7, moving the expiration for that condition to March 12, 2026, to allow more time to finalize matters with Great Basin Water.
Planning staff said the delay was largely outside the applicants’ control and related to coordinating service confirmations with Great Basin Water. Commissioners discussed whether nine months was sufficient and agreed that the applicants could return for another extension if necessary. No public comment was offered.
The commission voted to approve both extensions based on the findings and conditions in the staff report, changing the expiration date for the special condition to March 12, 2026. The items were heard together, but separate votes will be recorded in the project files.
The approvals are final action by the Pahrump RPC unless appealed to the BOCC.
