AUS reports April dip in passengers but year-to-date revenue gains, staff says

Anna Trejo, acting deputy chief of finance, presented the April 2025 financial results to the Airport Advisory Commission on June 11.
Trejo said total enplanements and deplanements for April were 887,601, a 6.5% decrease from April 2024. She reported average daily aircraft departures decreased modestly.
For April 2025, Trejo said operating revenues totaled $28,800,000, an increase of 7.1% ($1,900,000) compared with April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date operating revenues were $197,800,000, up $17,500,000 or 9.7% compared with the prior fiscal year. On the expense side, operating expenses for April totaled $13,400,000, an increase of 13.2% ($1,600,000) versus April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date operating expenses were $95,200,000, up $8,400,000 or 9.7% year over year.
Trejo told commissioners AUS’s fiscal year-to-date surplus was $50,300,000, a 9.6% increase year over year and up about 17.1% ($7,300,000) versus the office’s seasonalized budget estimates for FY25.
No substantive questions were recorded from commissioners. The briefing was for information; commissioners took no formal action on the financial report during the meeting.
