The Lemont Village Board on Monday approved a package of consent items and several standalone resolutions and an ordinance. The meeting record shows the board approved the consent agenda, a public‑works equipment purchase, engineering agreements for a traffic signal and a Smith Road corridor study, and an amendment to the village Unified Development Ordinance.
On the consent agenda the board approved Ordinance O‑28‑25 authorizing sale and disposal of surplus village property; Resolution R‑37‑25 amending the village personnel manual; and Resolution R‑38‑25 approving an intergovernmental agreement among the Village of Lemont, the Lemont Park District and Lemont Township for the village’s July 3 Independence Day celebration.
Separately, the board approved Resolution R‑39‑25 to purchase four rear‑sander lawn mowers through the Sourcewell purchasing cooperative for $43,846.36. Staff said the village will trade in three older mowers (two from 2016 and one from February 2020) for a combined trade‑in allowance of $6,200.
The board approved a resolution to enter an agreement with H.R. Green for traffic signal design at the 130 First/Derby intersection and approved Resolution R‑41‑25, a professional‑services agreement with H.R. Lochner for a Smith Road corridor study. The board also passed Ordinance O‑29‑25, an amendment to Title 17 of the Lemont Municipal Code (the Unified Development Ordinance) that adds missing definitions and adjusts the institutional zoning district to permit larger accessory sheds and allow architectural metal on non‑street‑facing facades limited to 25 percent of a wall.
Motions to approve the consent agenda and the separate items were made and seconded on the record; roll calls were taken for each vote and each motion was approved. Two trustees were recorded absent for roll calls during the meeting.
No items were tabled or defeated at the June 9 meeting. The board adjourned after public comment and staff reports.
