Supervisor Svante told the board that a Middle Creek restoration project team recently met and that staff will bring property acquisitions and a full project update to the Lake County Board of Supervisors for consideration.
“Some things are gonna be coming to the board of supervisors real soon for acquisition of properties as well as a full update on where we are with Middle Creek restoration and, some of the, support that we're gonna need from the board of supervisors to be able to accomplish some of our goals,” Supervisor Svante said.
Why it matters: Middle Creek restoration involves habitat and watershed work that typically requires property access, funding, and interagency coordination. Supervisors flagged upcoming board-level requests but did not vote on acquisitions at this meeting.
Details and limits: The board did not receive a staff report with acquisition specifics at this meeting; no parcels, dollar amounts, or funding sources were identified on the record. Supervisor Svante said further details and requests would be presented to the board soon.
Next steps: Supervisors indicated staff will return with an update and specific requests for board action.
