"Everything that I had done 3 years ago until this point has been to help kids," Micky said, noting 45 years of work with children and commending Bennett's presence and program leadership at the center.
The comment took place near the end of the meeting and was not followed by formal action; commissioners did not respond with a substantive motion during the meeting.
