The administration said the first-year commitment would be about $289,007.35; separate shipping charges of roughly $37,945 were also shown.
"I hate the new system. It's not usable," said Miss Patterson, a trustee who pressed for clearer documentation. She and other board members asked staff to return with a document that shows the total amount for each year and that includes shipping in the totals.
Action: The board voted to table H‑32 and H‑33 so staff can provide an updated purchase summary that reconciles the per-year payment schedule and shipping costs.
What’s next: Staff said they will produce an amended purchase packet showing the total contract amount, the first-year payment due this fiscal year, and any shipping or ancillary charges before the board considers the items again.
