Council approves consent agenda but pulls interlocal agreement (item 5) for further negotiation

The mayor announced that Council Member Symansky was absent and that a quorum was present. Council moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion passed unanimously. The mayor explained item 5 was being pulled because the city and ESD 8 (Emergency Services District No. 8) had not yet resolved attorney comments on an interlocal agreement. The mayor said staff must finalize a contract with the Baby Box vendor and then return to the district to determine whether ESD 8 will participate or decline. Staff said a report will be provided at the regular June meeting.
No formal action on item 5 was taken at the special meeting; the consent agenda passed with item 5 held for later consideration.
