Board adopts streamlined conflict-of-interest disclosure form; to be filed annually

Christy Lewis, the hospital's chief compliance officer, presented a revised conflict-of-interest and ethics policy and accompanying disclosure form and described the board vote to adopt it.
Lewis told the board the revised disclosure form is shorter than the previous version: "What is different about the disclosure form is that it is not overly expansive ... we have reduced that down to 9 questions where it was previously 13," she said. She said completed disclosure forms will be stored on a shared drive with access limited to her office and will be administered annually to leaders and become part of new-board orientation.
Board members voted to approve the policy after a motion and second; the chair called for the vote and the motion passed.
