The Brentwood City Commission and public-safety chiefs used the meeting to administer oaths of office and recognize promotions in both Brentwood Fire & Rescue and the Brentwood Police Department.
Wesley Pruitt was sworn in as a Brentwood firefighter. Fire officials outlined Pruitt's background: he moved to Brentwood from San Juan Capistrano, California; served in the Army and the National Guard; completed fire-technology training at Santa Ana College and EMT and firefighter certifications; and most recently worked for the Rutherford County Fire Department before joining Brentwood in April 2025. Pruitt took the oath and introduced family members who attended the meeting.
The police department presented three law-enforcement personnel for recognition. Officer Aaron Dunn was sworn in; staff said Dunn previously served with departments in Arizona (Gilbert and Mesa), worked in patrol, SWAT and as a school resource officer, and is in the field-training program while scheduled to attend the transition academy in July. The department also promoted Lori (last name not specified on the record) to lieutenant and Seth Witt to sergeant; chiefs described their multi-decade experience and roles including detective work, field training officer duties, crime-scene technician work and other specialty assignments.
Commissioners and the city manager praised the recruit and promoted officers, thanking staff for training and retention systems that leaders said keep experienced personnel in Brentwood.
