Advisory board sets subcommittee preference process, schedules June meeting

The Pulaski County Reorganizational Advisory Board agreed May 20 to a process for forming subcommittees and scheduled its next meeting for June 17, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.
Chair Rosalind Middleton asked members to submit two or three subcommittee preferences; the chair will make assignments aiming to accommodate members’ first and second choices. Justin, a county staff member who helps manage the board’s logistics, said some members had already submitted preferences and asked that the rest provide theirs within about a week so the chair could finalize assignments.
Members also discussed a current vacancy: the seat held by Susan Inman is vacant. The chair suggested temporarily appointing a member to two committees if necessary to keep workloads balanced until the vacancy is filled. The board asked the county judge’s office to prioritize filling the vacancy so committee loads could be distributed evenly.
The board set its next meeting for June 17 at 3 p.m. to accommodate member schedules and to allow time for the consultant to return a redrafted survey. The meeting time and date were adopted by voice vote. The session ended with a voice vote to adjourn.
