Ada County commissioners on Wednesday agreed to table final ranking and award recommendations for three temporary-staffing requests for proposals to allow the evaluation team additional review time.
Procurement told the board that the evaluation team was still completing reviews of proposals submitted for RFP 25034 (temporary staffing for general labor), RFP 25035 (professional, clerical and elections), and RFP 25036 (Expo Idaho temporary staffing). The board approved motions to retable each final ranking and award recommendation to the following open business meetings: RFP 25036 to June 3, 2025; RFP 25035 to June 10, 2025; and RFP 25034 to June 17, 2025.
Why it matters: procurement received a large number of proposals (procurement said 26 proposals for one RFP) and the evaluation team requested more time to ensure a full review before award. The tabling preserves the competitive process and gives the evaluation team time to conclude scoring and produce recommendations for the board.
Board action: For each RFP the board accepted a motion to table the final rankings and award recommendations to the dates specified. Each motion passed on a voice vote with commissioners indicating assent.
What was not specified: the meeting record does not include the names of firms that submitted proposals, nor the interim evaluation results or scoring criteria. Procurement noted the number of proposals but did not present a tabulation at the meeting.
Next steps: procurement and the evaluation team will complete evaluations and return recommendations to the board on the scheduled June meeting dates.
