Organizers ask Ellis County to waive dumping fees for Wild West event

Organizers told the commission that the event draws economic activity to the area: "2025 marks the ... year that the Wild West [brings] 9 Million Dollars into our local economy, including over $10,000 in sales tax revenue annually," according to statements by organizers at the meeting.
A county official asked whether the event would include rides or other new attractions this year. Organizers responded that they had secured rides and entertainment and planned several musical acts, saying they had three headliners and an additional secondary band scheduled.
