Sewer televising complete; pickleball, playground and daycare emergency plan updates reported

The borough's engineer and community-development staff provided infrastructure and public-safety project updates at the Oct. 12 council meeting.
"The sewer cleaning and televising network has been completed. We're waiting on the invoice and the TV footage for us to review," the borough engineer said. The engineer also reported that the MS4 annual report has been submitted.
Work on the borough's pickleball courts is under way, with paving expected next week and project completion anticipated within three to four weeks, the engineer said. Playground equipment delivery and installation were discussed as well; the engineer said delivery is expected in mid-October with a goal of having stone and restoration work completed by Nov. 1.
Community-development staff provided one emergency-operations update: Quality and Creative Kids Day Care Center, at 37 South Glenwood Avenue, will relocate to a borough room under the borough's emergency operations plan "in the event that they have to be removed" and remain there until parents can pick up children, the staff member said. The staff member said the daycare has an agreement for transportation but that staff will confirm the details before the next meeting.

The recreation projects will change use of public space and require follow-up on timelines and completion. The daycare relocation is a clarified step in the borough's emergency plan that affects child-care continuity in an evacuation.
