Board approves consent items including dumpster and parking permits, claims and minutes

During the consent portion of its June 11 meeting, the Evansville Board of Public Safety approved a series of administrative permits and routine actions, and a board member raised a safety concern about building materials blocking part of a street.

Permits and consent approvals recorded at the meeting included: - Dumpster permits: 827 Allens Lane (Jennifer Smith), June 12–July 3, for a house cleanout; 509 East Michigan (Property Pros), June 5–13, for a house cleanout; and 2106 North Fifth Avenue (Village Real Estate/Dino Bullevacek), May 29–June 25, for renovation and cleanout. Staff noted the Village Real Estate dumpster was already in place and had produced no complaints to date. The board approved each permit by voice vote. - Parking permits: Alstott Huffman Plumbing (three vehicles listed) for work on the Vail project at 424 Main Street; Evansville Federal Credit Union requested two food‑truck slots on West Franklin for June (Tater Temptations and Genie’s Gelato). Both parking‑permit requests were approved. - Administrative approvals: the board approved claims and minutes from the May 24 meeting by voice vote.

A board member raised a nonaction item about building materials—trusses and other construction supplies—left on the street at Second and Oak between First and Second streets. The member described the materials as taking up at least half the block and said the materials posed a potential hazard; the board agreed to note the concern for possible follow‑up.

All motions in the consent section were made and seconded by unnamed board members and passed unanimously among the two members present.
