City recognizes IT manager Patty Latham on retirement after 18 years

The Minnetonka City Council on May 19 recognized Patty Latham on her retirement after roughly 18 years as the city’s information technology manager.
Mayor and council members read a formal recognition highlighting Latham’s tenure since 2006, her oversight of budgets, vendor relationships, facility technology installations and recent work on cybersecurity policies and employee training. Council members and the city manager praised Latham’s role in coordinating fiber projects, technology at the public safety facility and other installations.
Latham thanked council and staff and introduced family members in the audience. She congratulated Jeff Dulac, identified by Latham as the staff member who will step into the IT manager role: “Jeff, congratulations. I have no doubt you'll bring fresh insight and strong leadership to the position,” she said. Councilors noted Latham’s mentorship and the department’s succession planning as reasons the city can “promote from within.”
The council presented a commemorative plaque framed with wood from a local park and offered personal remarks about Latham’s calm professionalism and the contributions of the IT team. The recognition was ceremonial; no formal council action was required.
