Council hears rescheduling of Gapway Groves future land-use and zoning hearings after noticing concerns

City staff told the Sebring City Council on May 20 that planning and zoning acted on several proposed future land-use and zoning changes related to the Gapway Groves project and that concerns about noticing prompted a reschedule.
Scott reported that Planning and Zoning recommended denial of ordinances 15-39 and 15-40; the applicant withdrew those items from their presentation and asked to reschedule all the related future land-use and zoning changes for properties north of Sebring Parkway. Staff proposed a new calendar: Planning and Zoning will rehear the items June 10; City Council first reading is scheduled for June 17, and final (second) reading is set for Aug. 5. Staff said the items will be re-noticed and go through the process again.
Scott encouraged interested parties to attend the June 10 Planning & Zoning meeting to comment there; the council did not take final action on the land-use ordinances at the May 20 meeting.
