Menomonee Falls board passes consent agenda, approves temporary speed reduction and accepts DNR sewer report

The Village of Menomonee Falls Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda and several routine measures, including a fireworks permit, monthly bill payments and license renewals, a temporary speed reduction on part of Menomonee Avenue and acceptance of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources sanitary sewer compliance maintenance report.
On the consent agenda the board approved bill payments totaling $4,879,297.79 and a fireworks permit for July 3, 2025, by Pyrotechnic Fireworks Inc. for an event at Menomonee Falls High School (rain date July 5, 2025). The board also approved a set of 2025–2026 class B fermented malt beverage and liquor license renewals contingent on building, health, fire, planning and police department inspections for the businesses listed in the packet.
Trustee Cross moved a resolution to temporarily reduce the speed limit on Spielman on Menominee Avenue from 30 mph to 25 mph for the duration of the Menominee Avenue reconstruction project after the contractor requested a lower limit for worker and public safety. The board was told the estimated end date for the reconstruction is November 2025. The board approved the measure unanimously.
Trustee Cross also moved acceptance of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources 2024 compliance maintenance report for the sanitary sewer utility. Officials said the village has submitted the required annual WPDES permit materials and that over the past 17 years the village has received a grade A in 15 of those years; the most recent report yielded a score of 4 out of 4 and an A grade. The board accepted the report and noted no special actions or recommendations were required by the DNR for the utility.
All of the consent- and consent-adjacent items were approved by voice vote with unanimous support.
