County moves Silver Beach walkway lighting up priority list; funds to come from deferred maintenance

Jill Adams and Don Trail briefed the administration committee on the lighting project and its prioritization. Administrators said the project would be paid for by deferring three items on the deferred-maintenance list: fence repair at the historical complex, a security upgrade at the Madeline Bertrand site, and site lighting at Love Creek. Committee members said the funding shift comes from the deferred-maintenance budget rather than a new outside appropriation.
The administration committee reported the item up to Public Health & Safety (PHS) and that PHS received the report; no final full-board appropriation or contract award for the Silver Beach lighting project was recorded in the transcript. Administrators said PHS would report findings and next steps to the full board when available.
