At a May portfolio office hour, staff from the Tennessee Department of Education told district administrators how to access and interpret teacher portfolio reports in the state scoring platform and asked recipients to return a feedback survey by July 1, 2025.
The guidance centered on three administrator reports available in the district administrator tab: the teacher report, the collection report and the samples report. "You will have all 3 of these reports," said Amy Floyd, portfolio lead for the Tennessee Department of Education’s Educator Effectiveness team. Administrators must download the dashboard CSV to view scores in Excel, Floyd said.
The presentation explained how the portfolio score and the teacher growth score are calculated and how they feed into the teacher’s final evaluation weight.
