Reno County commissioners correct April minutes, approve consent agenda and hold executive sessions; no public actions taken

The Reno County Commission approved its consent agenda after correcting errors in the April 30 minutes and clarifying an executive‑session agenda item.

During the meeting the commission identified three corrections to the draft minutes: adding the word "seconded" to a motion recorded as "mister Parks' motion and mister Winger," clarifying that a comment by Commissioner Bognor related to training for call takers, and removing the word "elected" from an executive session description so it read simply as a discussion of hiring non‑elected personnel. Commissioners agreed to restate the corrected motion before voting.

A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded. The board then conducted a roll call: Commissioner Parks, Commissioner Vincent, Commissioner Winger, Commissioner Hurst and Commissioner Boettner all voted yes; the motion carried.

Later in the meeting the board recessed into executive session twice to discuss performance matters for non‑elected county employees. The first executive session included the county administrator, the county counselor and the county appraiser; the second session included the county administrator and the county counselor only. Commissioners recessed for the executive sessions by motion and returned to open session; no formal public action or vote resulted from either executive session.

The commission also made several procedural scheduling announcements during the meeting, including upcoming budget work sessions in June and a plan to publish a notice about proposed amendments to the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) for consideration on June 25.
