Curtis said ADOT is repaving the state‑owned corridor from the Border Patrol station north of town east to Mohsen Road and that a problematic section in front of Fry’s and Target is nearing completion. "It is an ADOT owned and maintained roadway, so the city cannot just fix it ourselves," Curtis said, adding the agency expanded the project during planning, which contributed to delays.
