Council approves rezoning for Charter Foods property at 2657 Peters Creek Road

Roanoke City Council on Sept. 15 adopted an ordinance rezoning property at 2657 Peters Creek Road Northwest (official tax map number 6370101) from CN, Commercial Neighborhood District, to CG, Commercial General District with conditions.
The City Planning Commission recommended approval, and Charter Foods Inc. representative Zach May told council he was available to answer questions. The council opened and closed the public hearing with no citizens requesting to speak.
Council members moved and seconded the ordinance (council members Vollison and Nash) and approved the measure by roll call; the clerk recorded unanimous “aye” votes. The title paragraph read that the ordinance rezones the specified property and dispensed with a second reading by title.
No additional conditions, community opposition or public comment were recorded during the hearing. The ordinance was adopted at the meeting and will be implemented according to the conditions attached to the rezoning approval.
