Hayden City Council on Oct. 7 approved Change Order No. 3 with Interstate Concrete and Asphalt Company to revise the Ramsey Road–Lancaster Road roundabout.
Council took the vote after staff confirmed the additional work and cost will be paid from funds set aside for the project rather than from the city’s general fund. A council member noted the project is expected to finish meaningfully under the authorized budget.
The motion to approve the change order was made, seconded and adopted by roll call. Council members voting in favor were Council Member DePreece, Council Member Schaeffer, Council Member White and Council President Roeder. No dissenting votes were recorded in the roll call recorded during the meeting.
Staff did not provide a line-item breakdown of the change order during the discussion; the packet circulated to council contained the recommendation and the proposed motion. The council did not discuss suspending any procurement rules during the action.
The council adjourned the item and moved on to the next agenda topic.
