Sandpoint announces culvert delivery, street bids and upcoming open houses

Grama said Pine Street is out to bid for grinding and resurfacing and is expected to be completed during October. Bridal Street is out to bid to remove sheet piling and reconstruct the sidewalk within the full extent of the city—s right of way.
City staff described ongoing public outreach for a wastewater treatment plant bond. The city ran a public-information campaign that includes Facebook posts, mailers and a website, and officials said visitation to the project pages is trending up. An open house on the wastewater treatment plant project is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the council chambers.
The city also has a Traverse Park Sports Complex open house scheduled for Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with free coffee and donuts, food trucks, a ribbon-cutting for the Chamber of Commerce, a Born Learning Trail opening and Rotary Picnic Pavilion activities. The event will include beginner youth and adult tennis and pickleball lessons on the half hour.
On planning matters, Director Welker and Senior Planner Bill Dean were attending the Idaho chapter of the American Planning Association conference and were expected to report back to the council.
