The Hurricane City Power Board unanimously approved minutes for March, April and May and voted to recommend two items to the City Council: a development and power-line extension agreement for Black Ridge/Wasatch Commercial Builders, and adoption of the UAMPS Central Saint George project resolution using UAMPS financing.
Board members moved and seconded acceptance of the minutes for March, April and May and the motion passed. The board then discussed a power-line extension agreement with Black Ridge/Wasatch Commercial Builders and voted to recommend the agreement be forwarded to the City Council. After extensive discussion of routing, phasing and capacity, the board approved a motion recommending the agreement.
Later in the meeting, the board discussed changes to Exhibit C of the UAMPS Central Saint George project — a regional transmission upgrade that includes transformer and transmission-line work — and voted to recommend that the City Council approve the resolution and use UAMPS financing rather than paying the city’s share upfront.
All three motions were moved, seconded and passed by voice vote. The meeting record does not include a roll-call tally for each vote in the transcript provided.
