Forest Park pool to open Memorial Day weekend; swim lessons registration opens tomorrow

Aquatics coordinator Margarita ("Coach Kiki") said the department will run a range of classes: parent-and-child, preschool, youth swim lessons, water-aerobics classes and legacy-program lessons. "Lessons are $50 for residents, $55 for nonresidents," she said, adding that legacy swim lessons are free for legacy-program members but those participants must register.
The department said preschool classes will take place on Saturdays and that swim lessons begin after the pool opens. No details on class capacity or instructor ratios were provided during the update.
Recreation staff closed by noting summer programming is starting and encouraging registration; the council did not take action on the items.
