Forest Park public works readies Linda Way and Waldorf Road sidewalks; hires new grounds foreman

Forest Park’s Public Works Department told the council on Thursday it has received contractor bids for the Linda Way sidewalk project and has design plans for the Waldorf Road sidewalk.
Director Matthews said the city is preparing background checks on contractor candidates for the Linda Way work and is coordinating the Waldorf Road design for future construction. "We received bids, and we're getting ready to do background checks on the contractors so we can look into starting that construction," Matthews said.
Matthews also noted the start of mowing season and a recent hire: a new grounds foreman to help manage day-to-day activities. Residents were reminded to use the city’s one-click reporting application to flag infrastructure concerns and to contact Public Works directly when needed.
No formal council action or votes were taken during the briefing.
