The Sandpoint Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee agreed June 12 to create a systematic inventory of bike parking in the downtown core and to prepare a memo and map for staff review.
Committee members and staff said a basic count and location map will help the city decide where to add public bike racks and whether to recommend specific rack types. City staff proposed an initial study area roughly bounded by Fifth Avenue to First Avenue and Pine to Poplar, and described the work as a preliminary step that could feed into the downtown parking plan.
